Oil Panic

Recently I've learned more about the government's true reason for staying in the middle east. The Middle East's precious and large amounts of natural oil gives the U.S. government more than enough reason to stay occupying in The Middle East. Many of their reasons revolve around "terror" and "protection". Because of these reasons they are spending billions of tax-payer's money in a useless war which only brings more death to both sides of the party. It is incredible how the oil prices has reached at a high $112 dollars a barrel.

The history of the price of oil:
"Oil has broken through the landmark $100 a barrel, driven by a slumping dollar, geopolitical instability and worries over a winter fuel supply crunch."

For the latest year in 2008, oil prices sky rocketed over $100 a barrel. Many reasons such as tension between Kenya, Pakistan and Algeria as well as the sanctions in Iraq caused a rising of the gas prices. Each of these countries have a large amount of oil and are primary supporters of oil to the world.
Also, competition from other leading nations such as all of Europe, China and India.
The gas price may also vary because of radicalists damaging oil refineries.
Sadly the main reason my government teacher believes the cause for the oil prices to rise is the Neo-conservative party and their greed. Many of the Neo-conservatives aka "chickenhawks" were waiting on a reason to invade Iraq. When the opportunity came during 9/11; Neo-conservative parties used this tragic event and planned an search/destory for nuclear weapons and terroism. In fact they even lied to us in order for us to go to war with Iraq. The people who make military weapons are making billions and tax-payers are suffering the most. On the side note, if we did not go to war, I'm not sure but I think we wouldn't be in debt.
GREED IS COOL.
